Letter: PFPD has double standard

Are you SERIOUS??? Officer Brenda Knight gets off with a deferred sentence for an excessive DUI??!! She is a senior officer and a Drug Recognition Expert/ DUI Specialist who knowingly and willingly broke the law she is sworn to uphold and has arrested and jailed hundreds of others for in her career. She has no right to continue in the law enforcement field and should be terminated and have her P.O.S.T. certification revoked as her being cited with the crime she readily arrests others for is not only a crime but a policy violation as well. I hold Post Falls Police Chief Scott Haug PERSONALLY responsible for this reprehensible double standard as he has terminated other officers for “policy violations”/ Rick Linscott , of Post Falls, letter to the Coeur d’Alene Press editor.
