Rusche agrees w/discipline of Rep Scott
Responding to an Eye on Boise post, former House Minority Leader John Rusche of Lewiston agreed with the actions taking by GOP leadership in stripping state Rep. Heather Scott, R-Blanchard, of her committee positions: “It is the GOP leader’s job to address bad behavior by his caucus members. When leaders do not hold members accountable for their behavior, behavior that is harmful to the institution and impairs it’s function, government does work and chaos ensues. In the past, members have been asked to apologize from the floor and I suspect that avenue was rejected. The Speaker is charged with keeping the institution functional. Insults to other members and the organizational structure should be addressed.”
