How is Trump possible?

At the Golden Globes, Meryl Streep spoke of bullying. She spoke of racism. She spoke of a free press and expressed they need to do their jobs. She did not mention Donald Trump’s name. If she didn’t describe Donald Trump, how did Donald Trump and all the GOP know that’s about whom she was speaking? How did they identify Trump as her target?

I think Trump’s followers know he ridiculed a disabled reporter, and they liked that. They seem to love the bullying. How is that possible in 21st century America? How is “President-elect Trump” possible in the 21st century?
