Political balance in schools

What would happen if taxpayer supported schools were mandated to provide a political balance in instruction, guest speakers and in the textbooks used in classrooms? Results could be documented through testing and other forms of evaluation. I am sure that doing this, examining different points of view, is critical to developing well informed citizens.

This approach would further develop critical thinking skills, expand tolerance of others and improve the community as a whole. Aren’t taxes better spent on causes and programs that reflect the whole of society? I think Americans have had it with divisiveness.

I hope that parents, schools and legislators feel this is worth pursuing. Providing balance in schools could have a positive and lasting effect on the community and on our country.
