Siddoway, opening election contest hearing: ‘This is not a court of law,’ so keep it polite…

As the Senate State Affairs Committee opens its hearing this morning on the challenge of the District 29 Senate election by losing candidate Tom Katsilometes, Chairman Jeff Siddoway, R-Terreton, had this caution: “I know that sometimes in courts I’ve seen some pretty caustic remarks made about the parties. I’d caution you that this is not a court of law, and if that happens here, rest assured you’ll be called on it. And if it happens more than once, you may very well forfeit your opportunity.”
