Marley: Dems are the ‘thought leaders’ in this year’s session
Idaho Democratic Party Chairman Bert Marley released the following statement on Wednesday afternoon about the first two weeks of the Idaho legislative session:
“Today, Idaho Democratic legislators showed yet again that they are the thought leaders in the Capitol. The citizens of this state send their elected officials to Boise to do the hard work, to make the tough decisions, and to represent their communities. So far, the majority party has kicked one of their own off of her committees, dealt with two weeks of internal squabbling, and proposed bills that don’t even touch on the actual problems that Idahoans face. Our Democratic legislators are working to make sure every school district in Idaho has qualified teachers who will help our children succeed. We must fulfill our promise and ensure that students in Marsh Valley have the same opportunities as students in Kamiah. We all know that strong communities start with our schools. We will continue to work on policies that create opportunities for all of our citizens.”
