Rooftop dining downtown

This past holiday season, I was downtown Christmas shopping and I noticed that the Macy’s department store building was being remodeled. It made me think about a recent trip that I took to San Francisco. I remembered dining at the Cheesecake Factory. The Cheesecake Factory is located on the top floor of the downtown Macy’s department store building overlooking the city park.

As I looked up at the old Macy’s department store building in Spokane, I couldn’t help but think how wonderful it would be to have a rooftop restaurant in Spokane. At one point we had Ankeny’s on the top floor of the Ridpath Hotel. We will soon have a newly renovated Riverfront Park. This would be the best spot to view the new park and the Spokane River.

I think a rooftop restaurant would be great for tourism and the residents of Spokane.
