Yes to oldies, no to flag

I read Del Schueneman’s letter in the June 18 letter (“Where’s the oldies”). I was delighted to find 790 AM called America’s Best Music and I, too, went through the painful and disappointing transition. I did find a new station, 107.1 AM, that plays some older music (not the variety 790 played), but getting better as they realize there is a great audience out there for the oldies.

I also read Ken Campbell’s letter, “Equality not so equal.” I, too, was incensed at the flying of the LGBT flag over City Hall. How presumptuous of our City Council and mayor to assume that the flag represents the beliefs of Spokane residents. Are the beliefs of those who agree with our city representatives more important, superior, better and more notable than those who do not agree?
