Add Jadd to local heroes

I’m adding artistic director Jadd Davis of the Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre to my short list of local heroes — individuals who have blessed my life without knowing it. Walkabout and Stickman are on that list. So is former mayor Sandi Bloem. Ditto for Chris Guggemos of Handshake Productions, who has provided us with free summer concerts for the past 26 years. Why Jadd? As I listened to the superb show tunes concert last night at Riverstone, featuring Summer Theatre performers & Jadd, I realized how much this ball of energy means to the community. Without him, the Summer Theatre would likely be history. He had the energy and drive to save the theater, move it to the Kroc Center, and produce play after quality play to fill the void — all this while scratching his own itch to perform and grow as an entertainer. So please join me in offering Jadd one big SAAA-lute.
