Who is the partisan?

Thanks to Ms. Cates for the Republican Party line (June 25). However, her letter raises questions about who exactly is partisan.

Is it partisan for Americans to resist efforts to change the American form of government from democracy to authoritarianism? No, it’s patriotic. Is it partisan to opposed efforts to dismantle environmental protections of our beautiful American wilderness? No, it’s patriotic.

Is it partisan to oppose efforts to dismantle protections of our air and water for today and future generations? No, it’s patriotic. Is it partisan to oppose efforts to gut America’s dearly held freedoms of speech and press? No, it’s patriotic. Is it partisan to oppose efforts to dismantle the best health care law this country has ever seen? No, it’s patriotic.

The #Resist efforts are not about resisting any one man. It is about resisting ill-reasoned and ill-conceived policies that are causing the destruction of our government, our democracy and even mother earth itself.

The efforts to protect us all from ill-conceived Republican and Trump policies has nothing at all to do with contempt- It is about love. Love of this country called America.

Does she have any? Or is she the “hyperpartisan” full of “contempt?”
