Voice of reason

Finally - a voice of reason amid the chorus of “the-sky-is-falling” warnings about human-caused global warming! Thanks to Sue Lani Madsen for her column in Saturday’s SR.

Her citing Dr. Michael Crichton’s observations sheds a light on the present hysteria regarding the issue. His comments regarding the foolishness of “consensus science” was spot on. His conclusion that “the science had been twisted to fit rather than inform the policy narrative” exposed the difference between “scientism” and real science.

Madsen is correct in observing that the citizens of Spokane would be better served by the City Council addressing the real issues that concern its constituents, rather than continuing its political posturing.
