When murder becomes a state secret
In his editorial this morning, Opinion Editor Marty Trillhaase of the Lewiston Tribune comments:
A homicide occurred in Latah County last week.
The two individuals suspected of being involved remained at large.
And nobody in a position of authority seemed to give much of a damn about keeping you safe.
There are dozens of blind spots involving the shooting death of 18-year-old Tim J. Reeves of Pullman and what role 17-year-old Keagan Tennant of Pullman and 18-year-old Matthew McKetta of Moscow may have played.
But this much appears clear: The public and the media were left completely in the dark about this matter for the better part of a day. More here.
