KCSO to stage National Night Out in Hayden
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office would like to invite everyone from the community to attend our 4th annual National Night Out community event. This event will be held Tuesday August 1, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McIntire Family Park (aka Hayden Park) located at 8930 N. Government way Hayden, ID. Free food and drinks are graciously being provided by Texas Roadhouse, Target, and Pepsi. Last year, approximately 1,200 p eople attended and we’d like to see even more this year!
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
The Sheriff’s Office has organized over 100 various booths for the community to include law enforcement agencies, fire, security services, Boy and Girl Scouts of America, Avista Utilities, Kootenai Electric and Operation Life Saver just to name few. There will be SWAT vehicles, K-9 units, firetrucks, classic cars, boats, and a helicopter from Life Flight. Each booth will have representatives from their organizations for the public and to ask questions and help enhance community relationships. This is a great opportunity for everyone in the family to get to know those who provide public services.
