Trump who cried wolf

Donald Trump is the boy who cries wolf. His consistent disregard for the truth has now caught up with him. Rather than “making America great again,” he has made America an embarrassment on the world stage. His self-adulation and bravado in entertaining the two Russian diplomats has caused great concern among intelligence operatives here and abroad. Losing the confidence of the intelligence agencies of our allies could be very harmful to our own security.

He has proven by his own actions he was not qualified and ill-prepared to take on the real work of the presidency. And he is not going to change his stripes. He is so engrossed in his pursuit of admiration, he simply cannot grasp the minimum requirements of his job.

What the ongoing investigation of the possible ties of the Trump campaign will reveal is still a question. However, it will cloud his administration for the foreseeable future. In the end, it will most likely end his term as president, whether by impeachment of resignation.

Will this adventure into the political arena cure him of his penchant for lying? Hardly. With him, it is a practice he has employed for most of his life and sadly has been rewarded for it.
