Not so creative

Creative - relating to or involving the imagination or original ideas, especially in the production of an artistic work.

I couldn’t agree more with Doug Clark’s assessment of the new tagline: “Spokane. Creative By Nature” (May 18). The sad part about this endeavor is that it states we are creative, with the end result being entirely uncreative. Google “Creative By Nature”. Scroll down past all the Spokane tagline references and look at the volume of organizations that already use this line.

Unfortunately, there’s a naked emperor standing before us, nothing creative or original about it. Thank you Doug for saying it out loud. Why are the names of the branding consultants are not included in the article? Not their best work? At $250,000, I wonder what they charge for the really good stuff?
