I need a raise

I get a little tired of reading about all the pay raises and price increases that are being placed on the public every day. Someone else wants to raise their rates or income. How about all the retired people, military and Social Security people who have not received a decent cost-of-living adjustment in four years? We will get less than 1 percent while everything around us is going up by 4 percent to 5 percent.

Everyone is “helping” the veterans. Well, there are a lot of retired veterans who need the cost-of-living increase. When are the politicians going to go to battle for our increases?

I spent over 40 years in the defense of our country and all of those paying into Social Security, I think I and all the other people who have done the same need a raise. But I suppose like everything else, it is the lifetime welfare people and politicians who will be first in line.
