Teens, get involved

As a growing teen, on the edge of adulthood, I want to have the best future possible. A future where I am able to get through college with little debt. A future where I am able to start a family. A future where I am able to follow the American dream. The primary method I achieve these right now, is getting involved in political activities. I urge all my peers to participate in politics, in order to achieve their dreams. You do not need to be a specific political party. Just get out there and try to affect the legislative process locally and nationally. If you are old enough, you can vote in elections.

There are a variety of methods for you to get involved, you can write letters to members of Congress, either electronically or through the tried and true method of written mail. In addition, there have been several marches around the Spokane area — for example, the Women’s March and March for Science.

Last but certainly not least, you can attend City Hall meetings. This will provide a chance for you to speak up for yourselves and others.
