Keri: ‘I hate snakes’

Publisher Keri Alexander tells Huckleberries that the garter snakes are getting too close for comfort on her three acres in Kellogg. (Keri Alexander Facebook photo)

On her Facebook page, Publisher Keri Alexander of the Shoshone News-Press writes about a close encounter with a couple of garter snakes Monday evening:

“I’m so grateful for my Mom, Sherry Krulitz . Tonight I was on our patio and saw the snake sunning himself and I was able to hold down the snake with a squeegee. Not sure what I should do I screamed and screamed for Mason. My parents finally arrived, so that Dad could work on our riding lawn mower and Mom heard me screaming. She and Mason approached me as I’m truly ready to “lose it.” Mason moves my watering can and Lord have mercy another snake was under it, so Mason’s holding down the watering can on snake number two and Holy Hannah my Mom grabbed a bucket and it had a paper towel in it and she grabbed both snakes and threw them in the bucket. Blah!!!!!!! I’m 47 years old and I still need my Mom. She’s one of the toughest lady’s I know. Thank you Mom!!! You saved the day.”

Question: Are you afraid of snakes?
