Comey compares media to ‘seagulls at the beach’
Hillary Hanson of the Huffington Post writes:
Former FBI director James Comey revealed in his testimony before Congress Thursday that he shared a memo detailing a meeting with President Donald Trump to a friend in hopes that the friend would give the memo to the press.
When describing his decision to the Senate Intelligence Committee, Comey also revealed how he sees the media. He said that he gave the memo to a friend — later confirmed to be Columbia law professor Daniel Richman — rather than providing it to reporters himself, because he feared that offering it up directly would be like “feeding seagulls at the beach.” More here.
Question: Do you think the media pounce on things like hungry seagulls at the beach do?
