Set example, rich liberals

The S-R handed me an uproarious laugh with the June article about Nancy Pelosi warning the GOP that Democrats won’t support a raise in the debt ceiling; such a thing would reward the rich.

Wait! America’s “rich,” which includes Pelosi, are strongly liberal. Of those considered wealthy, about 50 percent place themselves on the left. So, when liberals decry the “rich,” of course they don’t mean themselves. They mean the politically incorrect types that they want the public to perceive as vile, greedy conservatives. In other words, “evil.”

Liberals, please stop the hypocrisy.

Let Hollywood, the performance arts groups, the liberal sports stars, the mainstream media, the high-tech industry and the wealthy leftist politicians willingly liquidate their assets and empty their cash accounts to fund that in which they say they believe. When we see them on the freeway off-ramps with cardboard signs reading “anything helps, God bless,” and proof is shown their money went to every liberal social cause they advocated, then we can believe they really mean it and are leading by example.
