Butterflies benefittng from moisture-boosted bloom
NATURE — Most butterflies seem to have benefited from blooms produced by this year’s abundance of moisture in Eastern Washington, experts from the Washington Butterfly Association report. Exceptions could include monarch butterflies that may have found some of their milkweed habitats flooded this spring.
Butterfly talk of on a range of topics will be sprinkled through the annual July Butterfly Count at Little Pend Oreille Wildlife Refuge on July 8.
