Vote Kiepe, not Beggs

Breann Beggs, elected by the ultra-liberal members of the City Council, is now running in a real election. Beggs is a radical progressive left-wing lawyer who supports such groups as Envision Spokane and the ban on coal and oil trains. As a lawyer he must know both issues are unconstitutional. The railroads are governed by federal Law. He knows both issues will cost Spokane taxpayers millions of dollars.

But as a council member, he would be involved in picking the lawyers for this losing effort at taxpayer expense. Wow, what a source for election contributions.

Mary Carr (June 16 letter), an activist supporter, says he has a plan to fix the sidewalks. He does, to greatly increase your high property taxes. Typical solution for the progressive left. How about our Third World potholed roads? Why can’t this progressive, activist dominated City Council do what government should do. Fix roads and our infrastructure! No more bridges to nowhere (University District over the tracks).

To get our city running right, get rid of Beggs and elect Tony Kiepe, a man with a record of success. Tony does not and will not support a sugar tax that Beggs might want to implement after the election.
