Children sold out to marijuana industry

Well, let’s see if I have this right. According to the Spokesman-Review’s very own cannabis newspaper, The Spokannabist, millions of revenue dollars from marijuana sales are spent on helping our youth after they become addicted to drugs. There are school dropout prevention programs, studies on the long and short term drug effects, studies on youth risk, studies on the impacts and safety risks of drugs, medical and dental effects, substance abuse programs and other educational programs. Is this for real?

Am I supposed to sing the praises of the marijuana industry because they have generously donated to help the poor kids they hook on hardcore drugs? Or perhaps we should praise the industry for providing jobs to those who sit on the boards of each of the above. Yup, sounds like a bunch of liberals making their buck on our youth by getting jobs that “mind” the pot. Way to go, liberals.

I can’t believe this state has sat back and let the marijuana industry into our midst. Where are the real men in our state? Our protectors, our heroes? Wake up, community. Our children have been sold out and you’ve let it happen.
