Issues trump persona

Add Spokesman-Review on Google

President Trump’s persona, whether you find it infuriating, entertaining or appropriate, is a shiny object that distracts us from more significant concerns.

Do facts matter? Is science relevant? Will our civil liberties be eroded? Will legitimate access to the voting booth be further constrained by allegations of fraud? Will ill-advised actions internationally, economic, political or military, put us at increased risk? Will health care for the working poor be scrapped? Will tax reform further enrich the already rich on the backs of those who aren’t? Will the reality of climate change be ignored? Is President Trump a role model for our children? For us?
