Abortion facts
Steve McNutt states in his letter (“Madsen’s muddy thinking,” Feb. 24): “There are conflicting beliefs and no absolute facts.” He tells us we should not confuse the two (facts and beliefs), and that abortion should be decided on personal belief. Are we to just disregard the facts?
Well, here are some facts that we can believe in: It’s a proven scientific fact, thanks to modern technology, that a baby in the womb with a heartbeat is a living human being. It’s also a fact that killing a (helpless) living human being is murder.
If we are not to believe in facts, as the letter writer proclaims, then what is left to believe? All you have left is confusion. The state of our society today. Confusion and chaos.
