Trump wrongly blamed

An article by Caitlin Dewey of the Washington Post in the Feb. 15 Spokesman-Review states in the first paragraph, “A record number of low-income children have begun to eat breakfast at school.” The same paragraph ends by stating, “The policy most credited with boosting their numbers may be on the chopping block under President Donald Trump.”

I was under the impression President Obama’s economic recovery has provided good jobs, great schools and affordable health care for all U.S. citizens. How is it we have hungry children? Never mind why we have hungry children after eight years of Obama. Blame Trump and accuse him of wanting to starve children.

Never mind the rest of the article that goes on to explain the problems with the breakfast program and the Republicans efforts to improve it. Do the desired damage in the first paragraph and hope nobody reads further.
