Thiessen discovers politics
Marc Thiessen should rewrite his editorial (“Trump should dare Dems to cooperate,” Feb. 28) and everywhere he wrote “Democrats,” replace it with “Republicans.” And everywhere he wrote “Trump,” replace it with “Clinton” and/or “Obama.”
This kind of behavior has gone on since President Clinton’s election, when all the anger and vitriol began, and the Republicans started it (see Whitewater, Vince Foster, etc.). They need to stop crying “poor us” and get on with their governing lives.
Democrats are never going to agree with the kinds uncaring, selfish, we-don’t-give-a damn-what-you-think (see health care) behavior we see now from Republicans, so just get over it - kind of like we were supposed to get over it for years. Can you spell “stonewalling” of the absolute worst kind for the past eight years at the very least?
But as Americans, we still have freedom of speech, and we don’t need Republicans telling us to not speak up. Can you even imagine what Republicans would be saying and doing now if Hillary Clinton had been elected? And they want us to not resist? C’mon.
