Let’s hear alternatives

Years ago, one of my professors at the UW Business School said something truly profound. He said some people choose to criticize and “shoot holes” at someone’s idea or plan because they are too lazy to come up with a better alternative.

My question to the critics of President Trump’s agenda: What is your alternative plan? I hear the whining and criticism, yet I see no offerings of your alternative ideas to bring back U.S. manufacturing jobs, to reduce our trade deficit, to fight radical Islamic terrorism, to fix immigration issues, and so forth.

To the political left, please put on your thinking cap and please show me an alternative detailed problem-solving plan that is better than what President Trump is offering and is actually implementing.

When parents criticize their children’s less-than-perfect girlfriend or boyfriend, do their kids listen and dump the “love” of their life? Often backfiring instead, it just pushes the kid to defend the girl/boyfriend.

Criticism of President Trump sans alternatives is the lazy way out. Moreover, it is removing any “buyer’s remorse” among us independents who did a lot of soul searching before voting for him.
