“In a welcome rite of spring, I bought a new pack of baseball cards today while in Target. 12 cards in the pack. I can report that 25% of the players in this pack are named “Tyler” (Clippard and Austin of the Yankees and Flowers of the Braves). (WTH with people naming boys during that era?) And 33% of them are Yankees. In the immortal 1979 words of Luis Tiant, “it’s great to be with a weeener” — New York Yankee fan Mike Kennedy.
