Can CMR take a stand?

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers has voted to kill the Affordable Care Act numerous times, with no replacement plan, despite the fact that most Americans favor keeping it and many of her constituents rely on it.

She has refused to stand up for immigrants, despite her supposed Christian faith and the fact that Washington’s agriculture industry depends on them. She refuses to speak in favor of marijuana legalization, despite the fact that most of her constituents favor it. Washington is the most trade-dependent state in the nation, and Cathy voted with the majority to pass the TPP, but then refused to speak up for it when Donald Trump opposed it.

She is the highest-ranking woman in Congress, but has taken the lead on no women’s issues. In fact, in 12 years she has initiated a grand total of three successful bills. One was to name an airport traffic control tower, and another was so routine that it passed unanimously.

My question is this: Is there anything – anything at all – on which the congresswoman disagrees enough with Paul Ryan or Donald Trump to actually take a stand on behalf of her constituents?
