Could be movement toward compromise on transportation as well…
After pronouncing the Senate GOP leadership’s plans for amending a House-passed tax cut bill a “great compromise,” House Speaker Scott Bedke said on transportation, “We’ve got to have a similar stepping toward each other.”
“I think the issues that unite us are a recognition of the road problems in Canyon County,” he said, plus the need for not only maintenance but expansion projects, to address significant traffic congestion and economic growth.
“I understand that Sen. Brackett’s bill goes a lot farther than that,” Bedke said, “but I think there’s enough overlap in the House and Senate to strike some type of compromise.”
