Support vouchers

The new administration’s interest in private schools rings my bell. I am the product of 18 years of Catholic schools, first grade to Masters (chemistry). Other than one religion class a day, we were taught what one would be taught at most public schools, except that there were no basket-weaving (or shop) classes.

Eighty percent of my high school graduating class started college. But my parents had to pay twice for that, since they paid property tax for public schools, and then had to dig out I don’t know how much more for me to go to parochial school. As an adult, I believe in a voucher system for schools, so not to pay twice for education, and to give people a choice in where their kids go to school.
