Hecla Miners bring strike to CdA

Lucky Friday Miners brought their strike to the Coeur d’Alene HQ of Hecla Mining Co. Above, they hold picket signs on Highway 95, near Hanley Avenue, east of the mining company headquarters. Mining representative Dennis Ballard (baseball cap & green jacket) told photographer Duane Rasmussen: “Been on strike since Monday.  Hecla said they are done negotiating.  There was a meeting on Tuesday.  Hecla said their contract or  nothing. They do not want to meet or negotiate any more until miners are willing accept the Hecla contract.”
