Senate throws in towel for day

Senate Majority Leader Bart Davis, R-Idaho Falls, just told the Senate that it will be adjourning for the day, to return at 10 a.m. tomorrow; the Senate has finished everything on its calendar except for SB 1162, the $300 million GARVEE bonding bill. “We’ve got nothing,” Davis said. “I don’t even have anything in the queue.” The House, however, has about 60 pieces of legislation still awaiting action, he said. “At their current burn rate, we’re deep into next week, based on the procedural challenges they’re experiencing over there”/Betsy Russell, Eye on Boise.
