In his Bay Views blog, Herb Huseland comments:

Many of you know Yvonne Wallis. She is disable, barely able to walk. A few years ago she was a victim of a brutal hammer attack by a neighbor. It killed her daughter-in-law and fractured her scull. Two years of surgeries and months of infection fighting antibiotics administered by IV followed. Throughout these ordeals, her best friend and companion stood by her. Her companion dog, Ginger, a schnauzer, is now in need of surgery which will cost $700.00. While waiting for the funds to be raised, she is in constant pain. To loose this dog would be akin to losing one’s child. Please help her. More here.
