Renfro to seek change of venue

On the second anniversary of Coeur d’Alene Police Sgt. Greg Moore’s death, attorneys for the man accused of killing him will argue that an impartial jury can’t be found in Kootenai County. Jonathan Renfro, a 26-year-old Rathdrum resident who allegedly admitted to shooting Moore in a Coeur d’Alene neighborhood on May 5, 2015, faces the death penalty if found guilty. Kootenai County District Court Judge Lansing Haynes will hear arguments today on motions from the prosecution and defense teams in the case, including a motion by Renfro’s attorneys to hold his jury trial in another county/ Keith Cousins , Coeur d’Alene Press.
