Today is Cinco de Mayo, a cause for celebration in towns throughout this country and Mexico. But in Coeur d’Alene May 5 will always be known as the day Coeur d’Alene police Sgt. Greg Moore died in the line of duty during a routine stop to check out a suspicious person in a sleeping neighborhood. The community continues to show its appreciation for Sgt Moore’s ultimate sacrifice and the police department that has served us so well. The memorial being built at McEuen Park will extend that commemoration year round. I’m proud to live in a community that cares and appreciates its Thin Blue Line. Here’s your Wild Card …
