Who will take their places?
CdAIndependent voices a sentiment that I’ve thought about occasionally. Who will step up to take Scott Reed’s place as the environmental activist and conscience of Coeur d’Alene. CdAIndependent comments: “Scott is greatly missed. No attorney that I know has stepped up to take his place locally to fight, often for free, for the environment. We need more people like Scott Reed.” Taking it one step further, who will step up to take the places of human rights leaders Tony Stewart, Norm Gissel and Marshall Mend? Fortunately, we replaced on forward-thinking mayor in Coeur d’Alene with another one. But who replaces the leaders of yore and aging leaders of today? Does anyone have the gravitas to be the next Scott Reed? Or the next Tony Stewart? Thoughts?
