Schindler Foundation to get jury panel donations
In a news release, County Clerk Jim Brannon announces:
Since 2012 the Kootenai County Clerk has distributed jury panel payments donated back to the County to Heritage Health. Recently, I have been researching other local charities that could benefit from these jury panel donations. One that stood out from the others is the Anna Schindler Foundation. It is a very small charity whose mission is to support families battling childhood cancer and is the only organization in the Kootenai County providing these services. The Schindler family started this foundation after losing their daughter Anna to cancer. For every dollar donated, $.94 is used directly to help families. All staff and board members are volunteers.
After meeting with the Schindler Family and officers of the foundation, I am pleased to announce jury panel donations will be directed to this worthwhile charity starting June 1, 2017. This change in no way is a reflection on the efforts of Heritage Health.
