Trump working on promises

After reading Wednesday’s article on Christiane Amanpour’s interview with Hillary Clinton about her presidential defeat and watching FBI Director Jim Comey’s C-SPAN appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee, I appreciate reporter Kip Hill’s balanced reporting on the first 100 days of the Trump presidency, according to local citizens.

Everyone has an excuse for their loss or bad performance. Many people didn’t vote for Hillary for three simple reasons. Her abortion, Benghazi and corruption stances. She was not entitled to the presidency just because she was the wife of Bill Clinton. Misogyny is passe’. Look at Theresa May, Angela Merkel and Marine Le Pen.

Director Comey could use some balance in his life, also. His pronouncements are all over the place. He has lost a lot of his former credibility.

In spite of all the bad press, so-called comedian comments and celebrity consternation, President Trump continues to work hard keeping his campaign promises. It would be nice if his party supported his efforts.

The third verse from “America the Beautiful” reads about those “who more than self their country loved.” Wellesley graduate Katherine Lee Bates wrote those words long before Wellesley graduate Hillary Clinton joined the resistance.
