Attack on memorial labeled hate crime

The Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial has now been defaced with racist and anti-Semitic graffiti three times in the past week, causing extensive damage to marble tablets at the memorial. Boise Police Chief Bill Bones told the Idaho Statesman on Thursday that the attacks are being treated as a hate crime. “There’s an obligation to call this what it is. It’s a cowardly act. It’s a criminal act,” he said. “The words that they wrote are obviously attacks against people that live in this community simply based on the religion they practice or the color of their skin”/ Betsy Russell , Eye on Boise.
