CdA begins search for new superintendent

News release from Victoria Michael of the Coeur d’Alene School District:

Applications are now being accepted for the position of Interim Superintendent of Coeur d’Alene Public Schools for the 2017-18 school year. The district Board of Trustees met earlier this week to approve a job description for the interim position and establish a timeline for the search.

Interested candidates must complete the application process by June 2. As part of the process, candidates will be required to complete an online application and provide a letter of interest, resume, credentials and transcripts, three letters of recommendation and at least two confidential references. Applications will be screened and candidates selected by June 7. Candidate interviews will begin on June 13. The successful candidate will be required to agree to a one-year contract that will stipulate that they cannot apply for the position of Superintendent.

The school board hopes to fill this Interim position by July 1. This month the board began interviewing representatives from local and national search firms, who would aid in the search for a new Superintendent, to begin this fall. Trina Caudle, Ed.D. remains Acting Superintendent until an Interim is hired.

Information about the Interim position can be found on the district’s website at www.cdaschools.org under “Apply for Positions.” Ongoing updates about the district’s search for Superintendent are available at www.cdaschools.org/superintendentsearch.
