From DFO’s Archives (May 16, 1992, 25 years ago):
What’s black and white and red all over? Shoshone County Prosecutor Jack Rose reading newspaper accounts of his trials and tribulations. During a campaign speech Thursday at a Kellogg nursing home, Jack lost his temper and began deriding the media for its “:unfair” treatment of him and indicted Sheriff Frank Crnkovich. At one point, Jack grabbed a copy of the Brand X newspaper and began ripping it to shreds, while the seniors — some in wheelchairs —looked on confused. The last time Jack turned that particular shade of red was in March 1991 when he threatened to shoot Shoshone County Commissioner Dan Hayman.
