Tonight’s “Idaho Reports” on Idaho Public Television includes a rundown of the developments of the week, and also explores immigration in Idaho, through the eyes of three naturalized citizens in the Magic Valley who walk about when they started to feel American, and when the community stopped seeing them as the other.

On the pundits panel, I join state Sen. Maryanne Jordan, D-Boise; Jason Risch of Risch Pisca Law & Policy; and co-host Melissa Davlin to discuss immigration issues and the events of the week, from the settlement of Chobani’s defamation lawsuit against InfoWars’ Alex Jones that included his retraction and apology, to Rep. Raul Labrador’s new immigration enforcement bill, to Sen. Jim Risch’s star turn on the news this week as the only GOP lawmaker willing to step forward and vociferously defend President Trump’s actions in sharing classified information during a White House meeting with Russian officials. The pundits discussion continues with a “Web Extra” in which we discuss the latest in the grocery tax lawsuit; you can watch it here online .

“Idaho Reports” airs at 8 p.m. Fridays on Idaho Public Television; after it airs, you can watch it here online any time. It also re-airs Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Mountain time, 9:30 Pacific.
