Labrador misleading

Congressman Raul Labrador is either delusional or truth challenged when he claims that nobody has died from lack of access to medical care. And how does he figure that 93 percent of the people have been “harmed” by the ACA? His constituents tried to set him straight at recent town hall meetings, but he stubbornly refused to listen to their concerns, preferring to impose his cold, cruel ideology on the most vulnerable in order to enrich his corporate donors with a huge tax break.

Labrador asserts that health care is not a constitutional right. Does not the Constitution direct the government to provide for the general welfare? What is more essential than affordable access to health care when one is ill or injured? Labrador wants people to pay upfront for services, go without, or go to the emergency room for ongoing health care. This is neither humane nor fiscally responsible.

Apparently, Labrador wants people with chronic or preexisting conditions to just suffer if they cannot pay exorbitant rates for insurance. He also voted to delete services for women for health screening, contraception and maternity care.

Please email or call Mr. Labrador and let him know your views on health care.
