GOP must cut bait

How convenient that the president loses confidence in FBI Director Comey while his administration is being investigated for possible collusion with Russians. If it were me, I would want an investigation to clear my name. And the reasoning: fired because of how Hillary Clinton’s investigation was handled. He is joking, right? Preet Bharara, Sally Yates and James Comey — all individuals who had something to say that the president did not want to hear.

And then there is Jeff Sessions, who had to recuse himself. It if walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it just might be a Donald Duck. When will Republicans put America before party? If Obama had done this during the Clinton investigation, Republicans would be screaming for impeachment. Without integrity and transparency from our government, our democracy is jeopardized, as no one is supposed to be above the law.

My Republican congresswoman sends an aide to take notes at town hall meetings, so no signs of leadership representing me. Why does it seem that only John McCain and Lindsey Graham stand up to this nonsense? It seems the Republicans have made a deal with the devil and do not know when to cut bait.
