Don’t backslide on climate

It has been over one year since the Paris Climate Agreement has been signed. With the signing of this document, the U.S. and virtually the entire world united to face the monumental challenges ahead of them. These included: limiting the overall warming of the Earth to 1.5 degrees Celsius, coming together every five years to be updated, and to help each other when needed. With President Trump boldly claiming he will leave this agreement, he is putting the world at risk. The U.S. puts out nearly 18 percent of the world’s carbon, and this is second only to China.

It is nearly impossible for the 1.5 degrees to be met if the U.S. continues on their current path. Things can only get worse if President Trump “brings back coal”, which would surely increase our carbon output. The world will continue to decline if President Trump backs out of the Paris Climate Agreement. To ensure this does not happen, contact your local congressional representative.
