Mumm should return money

It’s past sad that a union representing the Spokane firefighters would create at least three PACs solely to discredit a citizen, Matthew Howes, running for a City Council position. Even sadder is the fact that other than the firefighters that man the fire station one block away from Mr. Howes’ business, I doubt any of the other Spokane firefighters even know who Mr. Howes is, let alone that part of their union dues is being used for character assassination.

Even though Candace Mumm has disavowed any knowledge of this sad affair, she should do two things, 1) remove any union recommendations from her campaign, and 2) return any monies given to her campaign from the firefighters union.

To accept a recommendation, money or both from an organization that destroys the character of a person, his family and his livelihood is beyond despicable. Otherwise, there is no excuse for it and any connection to that organization brings down the character of the recipient.
