U.S. leadership sick

America’s leadership is sick. Republicans and Democrats alike now consider it their right to lie to, steal from and totally ignore the needs of the American people. Our representatives gladly filch elections by using slick advertising campaigns that twist the truth until it is unrecognizable. Voters are conned into thinking they will be the first priority, only to be completely forgotten as soon as the candidate takes office.

The politicians continue to use Trump as the perfect shill to move what little is left of the hard-earned money Americans still have into the pockets of a few ultra-rich. They so desperately want to please their handlers, they are willing to take away health care, unfairly rig the tax system and totally destroy the environment. Trump is obviously incompetent, but nothing is done about it, for now he serves their purpose.

Sen. Patty Murray demonstrates little passion and has done little to expose and eliminate the cancer that now permeates our system. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers shows no insight, leadership or shame and has basically become a potted plant.

Making America healthy is once more our responsibility. It won’t happen any other way.
