Grateful for recognition

We are a Gold Star family. Our Green Beret grandson, Sgt. Aaron R. Butler, was killed in Afghanistan on the 16th of August this year. We are heart-broken, but we are the first to say he was where he wanted to be, doing what he wanted to do. Because he thought it was right thing to do for the country he loved. What comfort it gives us to know and to understand that. Otherwise, his death would be meaningless.

We are grateful for a president who recognizes that about these, the best of the best, young men of America. Shame on those who vilify him for it.
